루스 앨스턴 브라운(Ruth Alston Brown, 1928년 1월 12일 ~ 2006년 11월 17일)은 미국의 싱어송라이터이자 배우였으며, 때때로 "R&B의 여왕"이라고도 불린다. Ruth Alston Brown was an American singer-songwriter and actress, sometimes referred to as the "Queen of R&B". She was noted for bringing a pop music style to R&B music in a series of hit songs for Atlantic Records in the 1950s, such as "So Long", "Teardrops from My Eyes" and "(Mama) He Treats Your Daughter Mean". For these contributions, Atlantic became known as "the house that Ruth built". Brown was a 1993 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
