리처드 세넷

리처드 세넷은 런던 정치경제대학교의 사회학 백주년 기념 교수이자, 뉴욕 대학교에서 인문학 분야 석좌교수를 역임한 미국의 사회학자이다. 그는 현재 컬럼비아 대학교 자본주의와 사회 센터의 선임 연구원으로 활동하고 있다. 세넷은 도시의 사회적 관계와 현대 사회에서 도시 생활이 개인에게 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구해 왔다.

Richard Sennett is an American sociologist who is the Centennial Professor of Sociology at the London School of Economics and former University Professor of the Humanities at New York University. He is currently a Senior Fellow of the Center on Capitalism and Society at Columbia University. Sennett has studied social ties in cities, and the effects of urban living on individuals in the modern world.
